CONCEPT

Sinestesia follows a character caught in the cycle of relentless ambition: constantly running in circles, never satisfied, always reaching for more. The short film explores the internal conflict between drive and exhaustion, achievement and emptiness.

Rather than a linear narrative, the film alternates between the character's actions in the physical world and abstract visual sequences, functioning as windows into the character's mind, translating emotions into pure texture and colour.

APPROACH & CHALLENGE

My core challenge was to express complex emotions through organic, recognisable textures without any CGI. I believe real, tangible materials communicate more viscerally than digital effects: when we see mold, we instinctively recall the smell, the texture, the discomfort of being near it. This multi sensory response connects directly to the film's theme of synesthesia, where one sense triggers another.

I worked exclusively with in-camera techniques, physical materials, and colour grading to create tactile imagery that could communicate feeling without words.
